What can we learn from religious and worldview traditions in the face of the climate crisis
Claudia Gärtner is a renowned Professor of the Faculty of Humanity and Theology at Dortmund University. Although her research focus is on practical theology, she explores diverse interdisciplinary fields of research for the further development of religious education and the task of religion in society. Glaudia Gärtner´s main research interests consist in the analysis of the role art takes in religious education, investigate the function of political religious education for sustainable development as well as in the research of didactic teaching and educational development. According to this, in her keynote speech Claudia Gärtner connects the importance of the interreligious and socio-ecological impact on the world we live in today. On this basis it is a pleasure to gain insights about the importance of political and religious education for sustainable development regarding the 2022 EARLI SIG19 conference.
