Teachers' intercultural professionalism: challenges of religious and worldview literacy
Inkeri Rissanen is an Academy of Finland Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Education and Culture at Tampere University. . She is an expert in the academic research field of multicultural education as well as religions and worldviews in education. In her main research she examines educators’ intercultural competences and mindsets which she can investigate in her ongoing research project Implicit theories of malleability as the core of teachers’ intercultural competence (2019-2022). Her second key interest applies to the challenges of religious and worldview literacy in every day school-life, and particularly questions related to the inclusion of Muslim students and parents. Against this background, we are looking forward to Dr Rissanen bringing her expertise on the exciting fields of research to the discourse at the SIG19 conference.
